Great Things Are Happening in Mount Van Hovenberg!

Mount Van Hovenberg is a world class cross country ski area in Lake Placid, New York. Lake Placid was the site of the 1980 Winter Olympics and is also the destination of our club cross country ski trip each January. This year, because of COVID-19 our trip had to be cancelled. Mount Van Hovenberg trails are still home to Nordic festivals and many races including Empire State winter games, Regional Junior National qualifiers and the Lake Placid Loppet Marathon. Racing isn’t all Mount Van Hovenberg has to offer. It has miles of great recreational ski trails for all levels of cross country skier! Mount Van Hovenberg continues to do great things to further develop the cross country ski area to be an even greater world class racing and recreational cross country ski destination. Check out the link below to see what great things are happening now.
