Best Local Snow In Memory!
The local snow we are getting this season is awesome! I cannot remember a year when we had such good local snow to XC ski on. As a result our members have been skiing at places like Caumsett State Park, Bethpage Golf Course and Wildwood State Park.
Fahnstock Winter Park, about 2 hour drive from western Suffolk County, has been a great day-trip for LICCSC to get groomed XC ski trails and beautiful scenery. https://parks.ny.gov/parks/fahnestockwinterpark/maps.aspx
Even places like Lapland Lake in Johnstown NY, about 4-5 hour drive, has wonderful snow and have attracted our members for overnight or weekend XC ski outings. https://www.laplandlake.com/cross_country_ski/
So get out and enjoy the snow! Wherever you choose to go, make sure to invite others from LICCSC to come play in the snow with you. Think snow and stay safe.
